Wife of tax university rector buys luxury SUV

Oksana, the wife of acting rector of the State Tax University, Dmytro Serebriansky, bought a 2011 LAND CRUISER 200 for 200,000 hryvnias in the midst of the war. 

In 2022, this amount was equivalent to approximately $5,000, which makes the purchase highly questionable, as such prices simply do not exist on the market.

Price increase: car five times more expensive

Today, the cost of a similar vehicle on specialised car sales websites has increased fivefold. This raises doubts not only about the expediency but also the morality of purchasing an expensive SUV in conditions of crisis and resource shortages, when many Ukrainian citizens face economic difficulties.

Personal assets and real estate of the Serebriansky family

In addition, Dmytro Serebriansky and his wife own an apartment with an area of 83.4 sq m, as well as the right to use a garage with an area of 43.9 sq m in a cooperative. In 2023, Oksana bought a 1,000 sq m plot of land in the city of Bucha in Kyiv Oblast for 1.8 million hryvnias. This purchase also raises questions, given the cost of real estate in a region that was heavily affected by military operations.
