Activist declares war on gas utility in Dnipro

At the end of last week, well-known activist and journalist for a local publication, Vyacheslav Poiezdnyk, caused a ruckus in the premises of the Dniprohaz AND district branch. The incident was triggered by the unlawful disconnection of gas supply in a residential apartment building by the organisation's staff. According to gas workers, they had received information about a leak. However, the emergency service subsequently refuted this data.

Most likely, a resident living in the stairwell where the gas supply was cut off is evading payment for energy bills. This became the reason for the intervention. However, given the illegality of this measure, Dniprohaz completely refutes this version.

Ruckus at Dniprohaz

But the fact remains a fact – the gas in the building has been completely cut off, along with a piece of pipe. Vyacheslav Poiezdnyk found nothing better to do than to smash furniture in the Dniprohaz office. According to him, he was doing so to obtain fire for cooking food.

As a result, Dniprohaz called the police. Law enforcement officers drew up a report. At the same time, gas workers promised to restore the gas supply to residents this week. However, only on the condition that everyone in the stairwell has functioning equipment. Otherwise, they will have to wait until repairs are carried out. To this end, gas workers intended to inspect the appliances in all apartments.

Today, the story continued. Vyacheslav did not wait for the gas to be connected to him, nor to the entire stairwell. Instead, the activist unexpectedly learned that an illegally installed gas water heater had been operating in his apartment for no less than 13 years up until the gas was cut off. And all this time, the gas service had no complaints about the equipment.

The management of the Dniprohaz district branch stated that until the violations are eliminated, there can be no talk of restoring the gas supply. Meanwhile, the act documenting these violations miraculously evaporated. It is allegedly in the archive.

The activist found nothing better to do than to cause another ruckus in the office of the head of the gas service – Alexey Prikhodyko. This time, a desk with a computer and other equipment on it was damaged. After the incident, the activist left, promising to return in the evening. Poiezdnyk attributed everything that happened to supernatural forces. According to his version, they lifted the desk a metre up and then let it drop with a crash onto the floor.

The activist called on all concerned individuals to write to Prikhodyko on the social network Facebook, after which the official found nothing better to do than to delete his page.
