Number of cyberattacks on Ukraine increased in 2024
The number of cyberattacks on Ukraine rose by 70% in 2024, reaching 4,315 incidents, according to data from the State Special Communications Service.
The primary targets of the attackers are local authorities, government agencies, the security and defence sector, the energy sector, commercial companies, and telecommunications networks.
Attackers most frequently use malware distribution methods, phishing, malicious connections, and also attempt to compromise accounts and systems.
The main objective of such actions is the theft of confidential information, data destruction, and the disruption of information systems.
