Official unemployment rate in Ukraine reaches historic low

According to statistical data, the number of officially registered unemployed people in Ukraine fell to a record low of 94,200 in December 2024. The vast majority of them — 75,800 — are women.

For comparison, the number of registered unemployed people in the same period last year was 96,100, demonstrating a slight but steady decline.

At the same time, there is a growing demand from employers for labour. In December 2024, the number of declared vacancies reached 46,700, significantly exceeding the figure for December 2023, when the number of open positions was 32,400.

Experts link this trend to the activation of the Ukrainian economy, the gradual recovery of businesses after crises, and the growth of job offers in the labour market. However, an imbalance between supply and demand is also highlighted, particularly in certain sectors of the economy.
