Korban trial postponed to tomorrow

Today, the notorious Pechersk District Court in Kyiv attempted to hear the case on selecting a preventive measure for Hennadiy Korban, leader of the "Ukrop" party. Ten minutes after the session began, Judge Babenko postponed the hearing to tomorrow, 5 November, at 15:00, thereby keeping the oligarch in pre-trial detention for another day.

The reason was that the prosecution had failed to ensure Hennadiy Korban's presence in the courtroom.

The judge left the courtroom with the assistance of police officers amid shouts of "Ганьба" ("Shame").

After the judge left the room, a fight nearly broke out between Members of Parliament and prosecution staff. Vladimir Paraschuk felt unwell.

Members of Parliament are not letting prosecutors out of the courtroom.
