Head of KMVA Timur Tkachenko found at the centre of a major scandal linked to a restaurant located in Mariinsky Park. According to information obtained by journalists, the shashlik restaurant, known as "Mariinsky dvor", has a complicated history of establishment and, sources claim, was built using the so-called "toilet scheme".
The history of this establishment begins with a public toilet that was located on the park grounds for a long time, next to the right section of the stands of the "Dynamo" stadium. Even during the presidency of Yanukovych, a MAf (mobile architectural facility) was installed here, which was subsequently leased to the LLC "Mariinsky dvor". In place of the toilet, a small kiosk essentially appeared, but the tenants decided not to stop there.
Soon, the leased area was transformed into a permanent structure of 240 square metres, on the basis of which a full-fledged restaurant was opened. Since the lease no longer suited the owners, they bought the building for 4.7 million hryvnia and, in addition, acquired ownership of 5 sotkas of land in the very centre of Kyiv.
The company that owns the restaurant is registered to Firuddin Mamedov, the father of the current head of KMVA, Timur Tkachenko. Mamedov, who is no longer alive, became the owner of the LLC "Mariinsky dvor", and his son, Timur Tkachenko, today holds a high-ranking position in the Kyiv authorities. It is important to note that Tkachenko's appointment as head of KMVA was linked to the quota of Oleksiy Kuleba, the current deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
