Employee of former minister Kryklii's office suspected of document forgery

 According to the investigation, searches were conducted at the premises of the organiser of the criminal activity (case under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, case No. 12024025160000288). During the searches, a laptop belonging to the limited liability company "Meta Bureau" was seized, which lawyers are attempting to have released from seizure. The incident occurred on 23 June last year at the "Mohyliv-Podilskyi-Otach" border crossing point, when border guards stopped a minibus with nine people on board. Each passenger presented a letter from the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Rostyslav Karandeev, allegedly authorising a trip to Prague for a charity event. As the investigation established, the documents were forged for a fee — the QR code on the letter turned out to be non-functional. 

 The documents were handed over by a woman working as a sole proprietor in the field of "theatrical activity" who had called employees of the ministry, including the deputy head of the document management department and the head of the document management unit. 

 The investigation is ongoing, and the issue of determining the full circle of participants in the scheme and their roles in the illegal transfer of citizens across the border is currently being resolved.
