Naftogaz aims to reduce gas costs for industry

In July 2019, Naftogaz intends to lower the cost of gas for Ukrainian industrial enterprises. The price drop will average 13%. This means the company will offer the energy carrier to commercial consumers at a price of 5,017 to 5,606 hryvnia per 1,000 cubic metres, excluding VAT and transportation costs.

Specifics of gas cost calculation

It is worth noting that the cost reduction for industry will positively affect the gas price for the country's population. Thus, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 293, the cost is calculated as the arithmetic mean parameters taken for the month preceding the current one.

At the same time, the price may vary in each region of Ukraine. Based on previous indicators, the cost of the energy carrier for the population in July will be reduced by an average of 8%.
