Fraudster Carlos Fuziyama plans to return to Ukraine

Carlos Fuziyama, the organiser of a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme and a subject of several international investigations in Brazil and Japan, intends to return to Ukraine despite an entry ban imposed several years ago. This is reported by the journalistic project StopKor.

Previously, one investigation reported that Fuziyama opened a mining farm in the building of a former factory canteen in Kropyvnytskyi. He subsequently attracted funds from investors around the world, promising them high returns.

However, it has emerged that his company, Mining Express, withdrew over one billion hryvnia from its charter capital via the Hong Kong firm Edelweiss Investment and Trading Company Limited. Instead of the promised profitable investments, investors faced financial losses.

In 2021, Ukrainian authorities took action against Fuziyama, banning him from entering the country and revoking his residence permit. In addition, law enforcement agencies placed a seizure on the company's equipment and assets.

However, according to the investigation, in December of the same year, the owners of the property managed to change the site's security, evict the old staff, and remove part of the assets.

At the last court hearing in the Mining Express case, the company's lawyer attempted to exploit clerical errors in the appellate decision to have the assets released from seizure.

However, the judge ruled only to correct the error in the document, not granting the defence's request, the publication reports.
