International donors conference in support of Ukraine to take place

Not long ago, news spread through the press that the International Donors Conference in Support of Ukraine had been postponed indefinitely.  This was allegedly intended to deter potential investors from investing in our country's economy.

 

Today, it emerged that the information was untrue.  Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavichus announced today that the conference will take place as scheduled on 28 April. In addition, the minister forecasts 12 billion dollars in investments in Ukraine as early as next year.

 

The same news was shared by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Shymkiv at a briefing on the results of the meeting of the National Council on Reforms.

 

Recall that a few days ago, famous American billionaire George Soros stated his intention to invest in Ukraine 1 billion dollars, provided that the West provides the country with assistance in the form of private investments.
