Maksym Krippa brings another Russian casino to Ukraine

Ukraine's gaming business is full of surprises and scandals. As it turns out, another participant in the industry has links to Russia. This is Maksym Krippa. He was previously noted for his connections to the Vulkan casino, or more precisely, its localised version – Vulcan. But this does not change the essence of the matter.

Moreover, Krippa's company went to court with a Russian citizen in 2015 over the right to use this trademark.

After the operations of the Vulcan casino were halted in Ukraine Krippa, a new player – GGBet – took its place. However, it turned out that this casino also has Russian roots. 

It entered the market back in 2011. Initially, it was the "Bet.ru" casino, which served as the bookmaking division of the "Vulk@n" casino. Meanwhile, the GGBet trademark belongs to the Cypriot company Brivio Ltd. The same company manages the website of the "Vulk@n Vegas" casino. In other words, the individuals behind them are effectively the same.

A little over a year ago, the President of Ukraine imposed sanctions on the "Bet.ru" LLC and the Cypriot Bevita Holding Limited, which acts as the operator of the Russian GGBet. Nevertheless, the "GGBET" LLC obtained a licence from the KRAIL to operate within the country, with the authorities turning a blind eye to its Russian counterpart.

In other words, a Russian casino is effectively operating in Ukraine and collecting data on the country's citizens, as verification is required to withdraw funds.
