Who will regulate Ukraine's gaming market

Following the detention of Yevhen Yakhniy, the second of the six members of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL), the body's operations have been paralysed.

Due to the lack of a required quorum (five members are needed to make decisions), the commission has lost the ability to hold meetings, issue permits to operators, and revoke licences.

Currently, KRAIL representatives hope for a swift resumption of their work; however, in light of recent events, including the possible arrest of other commission members, the regulator's future remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has officially disbanded the Agency. The new body has yet to be formed.
