Ivan Gerashchenko, head of Service Centre No. 4644 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Stare Sampo, has expanded his asset list despite the difficult economic situation in the country. According to the declaration, his wife became the owner of an 82 sq m apartment. However, the value of the property is not specified in the documents.
In addition, Gerashchenko holds 1.11 million hryvnia in cash, which raises questions given his official income.
The official's declaration lists a small amount of real estate, with a significant portion registered in the name of his wife, Irina Gerashchenko. Among her assets:
A 43 sq m shop in Stare Sampo, purchased in 2020 for 62,000 hryvnia.
A 1,000 sq m land plot, bought in 2019 for 50,000 hryvnia.
Another 118 sq m plot, acquired in 2023 for 256,000 hryvnia.
The family's vehicle fleet is limited to a single transport unit — a 2002 Volkswagen Passat, purchased in 2024 for 117,000 hryvnia. However, the car is not registered to Gerashchenko himself, but to a certain Oksana Kulyas. The official merely obtained the right to use it.
This fact raises doubts: does the car truly belong to a third party, or is this a way to conceal assets? Why was the purchase made specifically in 2024, if the family's financial capabilities do not allow for major acquisitions?
The family's total income for 2024 was:
527,000 hryvnia — Ivan Gerashchenko's salary from the MIA Service Centre.
95,000 hryvnia — income from Ruslana Kir, who is presumably a private employer.
Yet the only declared financial asset is 1.11 million hryvnia in cash. Where did the official get such a sum? How was it accumulated? These questions remain unanswered for now.
