Alexey Martynov, former co-owner of PrivatBank, accused Larisa Chernyshova, deputy chairman of the bank's board, of facilitating the sale of the Borivazh port to a company linked to Serhiy Tigipko, which resulted in billions of hryvnia in losses for the state.

Martynov noted that Chernyshova had worked under Tigipko's leadership for a long time. From 2007 to 2010, she served as deputy chairman of the board of Svedbank, where Tigipko was chairman of the board from 2006 to 2009. According to the businessman, this may explain the changes to the auction rules prior to the sale of Borivazh, which allowed the auction to be conducted with only one participant.

"It was precisely at this moment, when Tigipko asked to sell the asset, even if it contradicted the interests of the bank and the state, that Chernyshova could not refuse. Even court injunctions and criminal cases did not prevent her from fulfilling the request of her former boss," Martynov emphasised.

It is worth noting that on 23 December 2024, PrivatBank sold loans to the company Borivazh, which is linked to Tigipko. A portion of the rights to claims on loans amounting to nearly 3.6 billion hryvnia was sold for 2 billion, although the value of the collateral asset is estimated by experts to be 15 billion hryvnia.
