Germany allocates new military aid package to Ukraine

Germany announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine, designed to strengthen the country's defence capabilities and ensure the military is equipped with everything needed to withstand active combat operations.

Key elements of the new package
The aid includes modern weapons and equipment:

• Nine RCT-30 Boxer wheeled armoured personnel carriers, distinguished by their high mobility and firepower.
• Eighteen RCH 155 self-propelled howitzers, providing effective support at long ranges.
• Five Marder armoured personnel carriers, which have proven their worth on the battlefield.

Air support
To enhance reconnaissance and strike capabilities, the following are being provided:

• Six hundred HF-1 strike drones, intended for precision attacks.
• Fifty VECTOR reconnaissance drones, as well as
• Forty-six RQ-35 HEIDRUN drones and
• Forty-three SONGBIRD drones, ensuring data collection and situational awareness at the front line.

Ammunition and gear
To replenish ammunition stocks, the following have been transferred:

• Eleven thousand 120mm mortar shells.
• Additionally, the package includes tourniquets, field glasses and wool blankets, necessary to improve soldiers' survivability and comfort in winter conditions.
