Dmytro Bezdonolny, director of the housing and communal services department in Mykolaiv, found himself at the centre of a scandal after being spotted driving a new 2024 Nissan Ariya electric car worth 1.3 million hryvnia. However, this vehicle is not listed in his declaration.

Formal owner – employee of a municipal enterprise

The car is registered to Olena Solovyi (Shapirko), an employee of a municipal enterprise. Over the past four years, her official income has amounted to just 800,000 hryvnia – a sum clearly insufficient for such a purchase.

Connection between Bezdonolny and the car owner

An analysis of mobile phone numbers suggests that Solovyi and Bezdonolny may be in a close relationship. However, Solovyi herself refuses to explain the source of the funds for the expensive electric car. Bezdonolny, for his part, claims that the car does not belong to him – he merely “took it for a spin”.
