Incident involving Ukrainian aircraft in Belarus

Yesterday, on Christmas, an incident occurred in Gomel, Belarus, involving a small Ukrainian aircraft. On the evening of 7 January 2017, a Cessna 560X arriving from Kyiv overshot the runway. Before coming to a stop, the aircraft travelled approximately 15 metres on the ground.

According to preliminary data, the private aircraft left the runway due to landing gear damage. Following the incident, the aircraft was towed to a parking area.

There were four passengers and three crew members on board. No injuries were reported in the incident. Information suggests that several Ukrainian businessmen, whose names have not been disclosed, were among the passengers.
