Condition for considering the resignation

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is able to consider the dismissal of National Bank Governor Andrii Pyshno on 26 October, but this will only be possible on the condition that he independently submits the relevant application. This was stated by People's Deputy Ihor Zalizniak.

The politician emphasised that without initiative from Pyshno himself, the process of his dismissal from the post would be significantly complicated.

Prospects for the NBU Governor candidacy

According to Zalizniak, the most likely candidate for the position of National Bank head could be the first deputy of the current NBU head — Serhiy Mykolaichuk.

It is worth noting that the date of 26 October coincides with Andrii Pyshno's birthday. The deputy indicated that on this day, parliament may approve his resignation, provided it is submitted by that time.
