Personal proposal from the president

During a meeting held on 28 October, Volodymyr Zelensky personally addressed Andriy Pishny, head of the National Bank of Ukraine, with a proposal to leave his post. However, the head of the NBU refused to comply with this request.

Attempt to exert influence via the Office of the President

The unsuccessful dialogue with the president did not mark the end of the process. Attempts to persuade Pishny to step down continued.

On 30 October, Andriy Pishny held a meeting with Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President. During this conversation, Budanov again conveyed Zelensky's request for Pishny to resign, but once again received a refusal.
