UK regulator calls for product removal from the market
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) of the United Kingdom has issued an official warning concerning eggs produced by the Ukrainian company Yasensvit Ltd. The regulator demands the immediate withdrawal of the product from sale and advises against consumption of items marked with the code 3UA1012066 on the shell.
According to FSA data, Salmonella bacteria were detected in some batches of eggs supplied by this enterprise. Since it is impossible to guarantee the identification of specific units containing the pathogen, the regulator recommended recalling all products with the specified code, regardless of package size or best-before date.
Where the product was distributed
The Food Standards Agency clarified that the eggs in question were primarily supplied to food service establishments. The product was not sold in major supermarket chains. However, there is a risk that some eggs may have entered the range of small retail shops.
Consumers are advised to check the code printed directly on the shell. If you see the mark 3UA1012066, the product should not be consumed; it is recommended to dispose of it.
Recommendations for businesses and consumers
For business representatives, the UK regulator recommended immediately ceasing the sale and use of eggs with the specified code, removing them from circulation, and initiating a recall procedure where the product has already been sold in retail.
Regarding health, it is reminded that salmonellosis may manifest as a rise in body temperature, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain. In the event of such symptoms, the FSA recommends avoiding workplaces, educational institutions, and other public locations for at least 48 hours after the complete disappearance of disease signs.
The warning is dated 10 October 2026 and is valid in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.
