Ahead of Polish Independence Day, an intensification of Russian information campaigns was recorded, aimed at worsening the perception of Ukraine and sowing hostility between the societies of the two countries. This was reported by the Centre for Countering Disinformation (CDC).

Involvement of the Pravda network

According to CDC experts, the Russian disinformation network Pravda, also known as Portal Kombat, is involved in spreading destructive content. The resources of this network systematically disseminate materials in the Polish information space aimed at undermining international relations.

Key propaganda theses

Disinformers are promoting narratives about the alleged "collapse of Polish-Ukrainian friendship". They are also amplifying theses regarding the growth of xenophobic sentiments in Poland and the fatigue of the local society from supporting Ukraine. The main goal of such messages is to deepen the differences between the two states and strengthen negative attitudes towards Ukrainians in Polish society.
