US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance publicly blamed immigration policy for the crisis in France. Both politicians shifted responsibility for the riots onto Western liberals, who, in their view, ignored the consequences of mass migrant arrivals.
Trump’s call to close borders
Donald Trump claims that France has fallen into a crisis due to a flow of migrants, whom he describes as carriers of hatred. The American president called on French authorities to urgently strengthen control over the country’s borders.
“France is burning! Immigration of people from a completely different world — people who carry hatred in their hearts — has destroyed a country that was once so great. Close the borders and take control of the situation before it is too late!” Trump stated.
Vance’s criticism of liberal policies
US Vice President JD Vance also placed responsibility for the current situation on representatives of the Western liberal movement. He stated that their policies facilitated mass immigration, while issues of integrating newcomers and cultural compatibility were left without due attention.
“Western liberals brought the Third World to France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion. They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They were warned that this would lead to exactly these consequences, but they did not listen,” Vance wrote.
Warning about the future
Vance also expressed hope that France would be able to turn the situation around before other notable landmarks in the country are damaged.
“I pray that France, a beautiful country with amazing people, stops this madness before any of its notable landmarks burn down. And I hope that Americans are paying close attention to this. This is the future that Democrats in Congress are seeking for your country,” the US Vice President stated.
