The head of the Kyiv Court of Appeal continues to hold his post despite violating the law. His declaration raises questions.

A position that brings in more than a salary

Yaroslav Holovachov has been heading the Kyiv Court of Appeal for ten years, although the law required him to leave his post back in 2021. However, instead of resigning, he continues to manage the court, and his property and assets are raising more and more questions.

Elite real estate owned by the family

Although the judge's official income appears modest, his property and standard of living suggest otherwise. Among the assets registered in the names of family members are:

An elite apartment in the "French Quarter" (100 sq m), gifted to his son Miron immediately after school. The value is US$300,000.
An apartment in the "Novopecherski Lipky" residential complex (118 sq m), valued at UAH 12.5 million. It is registered in the name of his father-in-law.
A land plot (10 sotkas) near Kyiv valued at UAH 16.3 million, registered in the name of his wife.
A mansion in Severinivka (220 sq m), where the judge's family moved in 2022.

A car fleet worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

Mismatch between income and expenses

According to Holovachov's declaration for 2023, his official income amounted to UAH 6 million. However, this sum is clearly insufficient to explain such significant assets.
