For five consecutive days, there have been no confirmed new strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian oil refineries. The last documented attack on a facility in this sector in the Russian Federation took place in the night leading into 26 September.
According to data from Ukrainian and Russian media, the final known strike on oil refining infrastructure was the attack on the Ilysky refinery in Krasnodar Krai. This event occurred in the night leading into Saturday, 26 September. Since then, no reports of similar actions against enterprises in the Russian oil sector have been received.
The day after the strike on Krasnodar Krai, US President Donald Trump issued a statement claiming that Volodymyr Zelensky had agreed to "slow down" regarding targets at oil refineries. According to the American leader, such an agreement was supposed to help stop the rise in diesel fuel prices.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side has not officially confirmed the fact of reaching such a deal or agreeing to limit strikes. Despite the lack of comments on agreements, the de facto pause in attacks on refineries has already lasted five days.
