Puma releases self-lacing sneakers

The renowned manufacturer of sports footwear and apparel – Puma recently unveiled self-lacing sneakers. The brand was not a pioneer in this field. Nike had previously introduced similar products. The company offered the Adapt BB sneakers, which also lace themselves automatically.

At the same time, other world-renowned manufacturers are also working on developments. However, they have not yet announced the features of their products.

At present, only Nike and Puma have made every effort to maximise comfort for users and free them from the problem of constantly untied laces, which increase the danger to the athlete and the risk of injury from falling as a result of tripping over the laces.

Puma's self-lacing sneakers are named Puma Fi. The products will appear on the shelves of sports stores in 2020.

It took the brand three years to develop the items. The work was delayed because the company's specialists attempted to create products that would maintain a balance between convenience, practicality, intuitiveness, and affordability. As a result, models were created with an estimated cost of $350.
