Andriy Vasyliovych Matryfaylo was born in 1967 in the village of Kotuziv in Terebovlya Raion. He is a graduate of the Ternopil National Economic University and the Lviv Institute of Internal Affairs, holding degrees in economics and law.
He began his service in the internal affairs bodies in the Ternopil region in 1993. During his career, he held various positions, including deputy head of the Regional Traffic Police Department, head of the city department of citizenship and registration of individuals, and deputy head of the special unit of the judicial militia “Griffin”.
In January 2011, Matryfaylo became the acting head of the Ternopil City Department of Internal Affairs. From May 2012 to October 2013, he headed the regional State Traffic Inspectorate. He also managed the Territorial Directorate of the Judicial Protection Service in Ternopil Oblast.
In addition to his civil service, Andriy Matryfaylo was involved in business. From 2020, he held the position of head of the limited liability company “BASTION TERNOPIL”, and from June 2021, he was registered as an individual entrepreneur.
