Refutation of claims regarding the suspension of support

The Polish government officially refuted reports that appeared in Ukrainian media. These reports stated that Warsaw had ceased providing military aid to Ukraine as a result of a decision by the Lviv Regional Council. The document proposed declaring 2027 the Year of Remembrance of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and Roman Shukhevych.

«Це неправдива інформація» ("This is false information"), Polish Defence Ministry spokesman Janusz Sejmaj emphasised in an interview with the publication Fakt.

Reaction to the local council's initiative

So far, the only measure taken by the Polish side against the initiator of this decision has been a ban on entry to the Schengen area. This restriction applies to a specific member of the Lviv Regional Council who put forward the initiative regarding the remembrance date.
