A series of incidents involving the theft of digital assets has been recorded online. Several casino streamers reported that their crypto wallets had been emptied. Total losses across all described cases approach $80,000. The victims insist that they did not connect their wallets to third-party services and did not share secret access data with anyone.
Loss of nearly 40,000 USDT
Streamer Greenbratuha stated that nearly 40,000 USDT disappeared from his crypto wallet. According to him, these were all his savings. He emphasises that the wallet was not connected to any external resources.
Synchronous disappearance of funds from three wallets
Maria Dorvey described a similar situation. She noted that funds vanished almost simultaneously from three crypto wallets stored on a single iPhone device. She estimated the total damage at over $16,000. Dorvey claims she did not install third-party applications and did not share seed phrases, which are secret words used to restore access to a wallet, with anyone.
Theft of a subscriber's funds
Another case was detailed by Maksym Dovolnyi. According to him, approximately 23,800 USDT were stolen from one of his subscribers immediately after the wallet was topped up. Dovolnyi explains that the perpetrators paid the transaction fee themselves before transferring all the funds.
Possible causes of the incidents
< p>Among the hypotheses regarding the mechanism of the crime, an iPhone hack via a malicious webpage on an outdated version of the iOS operating system is being discussed. Although tools for conducting such attacks exist, there is currently no confirmation that this specific method was used in the mentioned cases. The exact reasons for the disappearance of the funds remain undetermined.
