Failure of key infrastructure

In Kyiv, the data centre of the company Omega Telecom ceased operations as a result of mass shelling by Russian forces. The entity reported that the incident occurred during a large-scale attack, which led to the suspension of the facility's work.

Switch to backup capacities

Representatives of Omega Telecom confirmed the malfunction and provided an update on the current situation. Currently, technical specialists are focused on restoring communication channels and ensuring user access to the internet via backup sites.

«Наразі фахівці відновлюють канали зв’язку та доступ до інтернету на резервних майданчиках. Це складний момент для нас, але ми не зупиняємося» (Currently, specialists are restoring communication channels and internet access on backup sites. Lack of information on restoration timelines

Omega Telecom did not disclose details regarding the scale of damage caused by the attack, nor did it provide a forecast for the timeline of the data centre's full return to normal operating mode.
