Oleksandr Lobanovskyi, a deputy of the Kharkiv City Council, died in a road traffic accident on the Kyiv-Odesa highway. He was 61 years old at the time of the tragedy.

Political career

In the current convocation of the city council, Lobanovskyi represented the "Kernes Bloc". Previously, in the prior convocation, he was elected as a representative of the "Vidrodzhennia" party and was a member of the "Opposition Bloc — Trust the Deeds" faction.

Business activities

In addition to his political work, Oleksandr Lobanovskyi was known as a business leader. He served as the director of the "Klass" supermarket chain in Kharkiv.
