Budget Committee backs 2027 State Budget draft

The Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada has supported the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2027. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretskyi, who added that all recommendations provided by the committee would be processed during the preparation of the document for second reading.

Budget policy priorities

The head of the government emphasised that the financial plan for the following year was developed taking into account the specifics of the martial law. According to him, the main goal is to meet the needs of the security and defence sectors, maintain the state's financial stability, and guarantee social payments and necessary support for citizens.

«Це бюджет воюючої країни і наше спільне завдання забезпечити потреби безпеки й оборони, зберегти фінансову стійкість, соціальні виплати та гарантувати українцям необхідну підтримку», – зазначив він. ("This is the budget of a warring country, and our joint task is to meet the needs of security and defence, maintain financial stability, social payments, and guarantee Ukrainians the necessary support," he noted.)

Next steps in the review process

The review of the State Budget draft in the first reading is expected to take place during the upcoming plenary week. Serhiy Koretskyi underlined the government's readiness for further constructive cooperation in this process.
