Artist's unusual analogy

Ukrainian rap artist alyona alyona has become the centre of a loud controversy. The artist made a controversial comparison between fighting eating habits and paedophilia, explaining what unites these two phenomena.

In her words, in both cases, it is about a powerful internal desire that a person cannot control. At the same time, the individual is aware that they should not give in to this impulse. alyona alyona emphasised that the need to constantly restrain oneself is a common feature of these processes. The artist argued her point through her personal understanding of the struggle against the desire to overeat.

Words that caused outrage

(The urge for something is strong. And it is not only about food. For example, I even compared this urge for food to some kind of paedophilia. The only thing is that paedophilia is when you harm another person. If you look at it globally. But food is for yourself. And you, like that sick man, you cannot, how to explain, you do not control it. You see it, and you want it, and you have to deny yourself this for life), the rapper noted.

She then spoke about the duration of this internal struggle: «І ти все життя, з якогось підліткового віку, чи з якоюсь формулою, борешся з тим, щоб не піти на цей шлях. (And you spend your whole life, from some teenage age, or with some formula, fighting not to go down this path. Simply, without alcohol, and sorry, without intimacy with a child, you can live. But without food — no).

Thus, alyona alyona attempted to describe overeating through an analogy with an uncontrollable drive, emphasising the difficulty of constant self-restraint. However, such a comparison caused a wave of criticism.
