Zorian Shkiryak resigns

Acting Minister of Emergency Services Zorian Shkiryak has resigned. He announced this personally during today's briefing.

 

According to Shkiryak, his mission in this position is complete, and he is very proud to have spent this short period alongside brave and courageous people. Now, according to the former Minister of Emergency Services, it is time to hand over the position to a professional. A worthy candidate is reportedly already available. Zorian Shkiryak himself has already submitted a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding his resignation.

Слава Україні!", - (I have just signed a statement to the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding my resignation from the position of Acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. This is my personal decision, and I have announced it publicly. I am sincerely grateful to everyone for their support! Thanks to these difficult trials, I have learned that I have so many true friends. I bow deeply to you for believing and not doubting, despite everything! These were truly turbulent days and invaluable experience for the future. I am proud of the people I had to work alongside and I am proud of the achievements we managed to realize in such a short period of time. I hope the State Emergency Service will never again be closed off from society and the country's leadership. At this stage, I consider my mission accomplished. Life goes on, everything is just beginning! I am always with you! Glory to Ukraine!"), - Shkiryak wrote on his Facebook page.

It is worth noting that Zorian Shkiryak served in this position for just over a month and has already caused a scandal and mockery. The cause was his high-profile rescue operation in Nepal.
