The statement claims that the handbag in question is not an original, and the footwear worn by Maria Trenkina was purchased in Cherkasy and does not belong to luxury brands. The message also emphasises that such accessories are accessible to people of different social statuses, as fakes and affordable alternatives have flooded the modern market.

City Council representatives urged journalists to thoroughly verify information before publishing it and to avoid sensational headlines that may distort the real picture.
