Director of online casino owned by Russian citizens detained

The director of an online casino, whose owners are citizens of the Russian Federation, has been detained in Ukraine. The suspect was responsible for the legal support of the online casino's operations on Ukrainian territory.

This concerns the Pin UP casino and its director, Popenko, who features in the scandalously known phone conversations with Zotko.

Illegal activity and collection of client data
As a result of this online casino's operations on Ukrainian territory, personal data of clients was collected. Information about the location of users, including members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, ended up in the hands of the aggressor state.

Personal data in Russian hands
The collected data included personal information that could be used for various purposes, including surveillance of Ukrainian military personnel. This poses a security threat to both Ukrainian citizens and their armed forces.
