Wiretapping the offices of court chairs has long been an unwritten rule in the fight against corruption. Recent recordings by the National Security Service have revealed new details about the activities of Vadym Bosyi, the head of the Kyiv Commercial Court.

Pressure on judge Ivchenko

On 23 December, Bosyi summoned judge Ivchenko to his office and demanded that he recuse himself from the bankruptcy case of the company Agromars. According to sources, the recordings show the court chair making illegal demands, accompanied by threats.

Bosyi threatened the judge with criminal prosecution under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Treason) if he refused to comply with his order. He cited the fate of Artur Yemelyanov, who previously represented the interests of the Sigal company in the bankruptcy case. According to Bosyi, Yemelyanov ended up in prison precisely because of his "incorrect" approach to the case, and Ivchenko could suffer the same fate.

Manipulation and pressure from above

To intensify the pressure, Bosyi made a call to an unnamed individual during the conversation, whom he claimed was from the country's senior military-political leadership. In the conversation, the court chair stated that if judge Ivchenko did not meet his demands, the consequences for him would be irreversible.
