Trump to sign over 200 executive orders on first day in office

Donald Trump will sign more than 200 executive orders on his first day in office, covering energy, border, and immigration policy, according to informed sources citing Fox News.

Trump is expected to issue a series of executive orders and directives intended to radically transform the workings of the US government.

 Specifically, the President will declare a state of emergency at the national border, with US military forces instructed to work alongside the Department of Homeland Security to maintain order on the southern border. A law closing the border to illegal immigrants will also be enacted.

Trump will establish special task forces comprising agents from the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other law enforcement agencies to combat criminal cartels.

The President intends to designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organisations, opening up new avenues for national security enforcement.

Furthermore, as part of the fight against illegal migration, Trump plans to restore the policy of keeping migrants in Mexico and order the military to construct additional sections of the border wall.

In the energy sector, the President-elect will revoke decisions made by his predecessor, Joe Biden, which, according to sources, restricted US energy supply.
