ATO participant denied Ukrainian citizenship

While the president grants citizenship to senior officials and individuals with prominent surnames, the true defenders of our country, fighting in the ATO zone for more than a month, are receiving rejections from the migration service. It became known today that another fighter faces deportation to his home country, where he will likely face prison.

После того, как я подал документы на беженство, сходил туда на одно интервью, где предоставил документы об участии в АТО, и на вопрос "что вам грозит по возвращению на родину" ответил "тюрьма или физическая расправа", мне назначили второе интервью на 13-е число. (After I submitted my asylum application, I went for an interview where I provided documents proving my participation in the ATO, and when asked "what threatens you upon returning to your home country," I answered "prison or physical harm," they scheduled a second interview for the 13th.)

И вот, вчера, ВНЕЗАПНО пришло письмо из миграционной службы, где мне отказывают в принятии документов в связи с "необоснованностью оснований" и "отсутствием боязни преследования". Видимо, для миграционной службы смерть и тюрьма не являются чем-то страшным... (And then, yesterday, SUDDENLY a letter arrived from the migration service, refusing to accept my documents due to "unjustified grounds" and "lack of fear of persecution." Apparently, for the migration service, death and prison are not something to be afraid of...)

В письме предлагается обжаловать решение в пятидневный срок с момента подписания приказа: он подписан 05.08, а письмо приходит 10.08. Очевидное-невероятное. (The letter suggests appealing the decision within five days of the order being signed: it was signed on 05.08, but the letter arrived on 10.08. The obvious is incredible.)

Ну что ж, война так война, дорогая миграционка. Хватит уже пилить баблище, брать взятки и давать беженство ворам в законе, пока иностранцы умирают и теряют здоровье на фронте. Stop skimming off the top, taking bribes, and granting asylum to criminals while foreigners are dying and losing their health at the front. We will shake you up), a user named Rustam Dok reported on his Facebook page.

Это далеко не первый подобный отказ. Люди отдают жизни за нашу страну, при этом не получаю взамен даже элементарного. This is far from the first such rejection. People are giving their lives for our country, yet they do not even receive the basics in return.
