Mirage battalion commander callsign Tsigan killed

Yesterday, in the centre of the rebel-occupied Donetsk, at the intersection of Chelyusnets Street and Votutin Avenue, former Ministry of Internal Affairs officer and Mirage battalion commander Roman Vinnik (callsign Tsigan), who betrayed his oath in March 2014, was shot dead in his car.

His wife, child, and two rebel bodyguards were also in the car. The wife and child were unharmed. One of Vinnik's bodyguards was killed alongside him.
