Ukrainians' debts are rising

Ukrainians' debts: over 712,000 new entries registered in a year

Over the past year, 712,453 new entries were added to the Unified Register of Debtors of Ukraine, bringing the total number of debts to 8.8 million.

Main causes of arrears:

• Fines for traffic violations – 1.8 million cases.
• Administrative penalties – 1.7 million entries.
• Arrears to the state budget – 1.6 million cases.
• Unpaid utility bills – 727,000 debts.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the number of entries in the register has increased by nearly two million, indicating a growing financial burden on citizens.
