UNL fails to obtain casino licence
The Gambling and Lotteries Regulatory Commission denied OOO "UNL Games" a licence to launch an online casino. The reasons cited were the absence of documents confirming the right to use the brand, as well as the lack of transparency regarding the origin of the 30 million hryvnia authorised capital. To enter the market, the company must provide all necessary documentation.
Nikolai Pechenyuk heads "UNL Games" and simultaneously serves as the director of OOO "UNL Betting". This company is owned by the "Ukrainian National Lottery" and British citizen Michael Foggo.
It is worth noting that "UNL" had long functioned de facto as a casino, benefiting from preferential taxation. This has now become officially evident.
