Turkey blinds Russian S-400s

Last week, Russia deployed S-400 air defence systems in Syria to ensure the safety of its military aircraft. This occurred after Turkey shot down a Su-24 that violated the country's airspace.

However, as early as yesterday, 30 November, Turkey clearly demonstrated to Russia the ineffectiveness of the S-400 system by "blinding" it using a modern air defence system CORAL.

The system is manufactured in Turkey and has a range of 100 kilometres, which is more than sufficient to neutralise Russian air defence systems. CORAL is capable of suppressing the radio electronic signals of Russian systems, rendering them completely useless and helpless. In addition, the Turkish development is capable of provoking fire at a false target.

The system is mobile, so it can be transported from place to place and used on vehicles.

The action was demonstrative in nature. The Russian S-400s were "blind" for a very short time.
