The bankruptcy of another financial institution is imminent. Specifically, this concerns Transstroybank. Currently, the Armenian diaspora is trying to reach an agreement with the Central Bank to obtain recapitalisation and avoid bankruptcy.

However, if previously the head of ARB, Garegin Tosunyan, helped in this matter, he no longer carries such weight, so the negotiations have not yielded a positive result.

At present, the bank has already received restrictions on deposits.

It is worth noting that the owner of Transstroybank, Petr Chitipakhyan, was involved in the construction of the Marriott hotel chain. He is now trying hard to extricate himself and settle the multi-billion debts that arose as a result of an incorrect credit policy. The situation is exacerbated by currency loans, which have risen significantly in value over several years.
