Newly elected US President Donald Trump plans to take cryptocurrencies to a new level, making them part of a state strategy and a national priority.

According to Bloomberg, citing informed sources, Trump intends to implement a policy aimed at strengthening interaction between government agencies and the cryptocurrency industry.

Specifically, as part of this strategy, the creation of an advisory council on crypto assets is envisaged, which will work on shaping policy priorities and representing the interests of market participants.

According to the publication, Trump intends to issue an executive order that will elevate the status of cryptocurrencies, giving them the significance of state policy. This step is expected to involve representatives of the crypto industry in key decision-making within his administration.

This executive order could become a significant milestone for the cryptocurrency sector, which has faced harsh criticism and investigations in recent years under the administration of Joe Biden, particularly following high-profile scandals such as the bankruptcy of the FTX crypto exchange.

One of the expected provisions of the order is a requirement for government institutions to review their policies regarding digital assets, as well as the possibility of suspending court proceedings related to cryptocurrencies.

The order is predicted to be signed as early as 20 January 2025, although its final version may still undergo changes before the official announcement.

Against the backdrop of these expectations, the price of Bitcoin exceeded $102,000.
