Russia will retain control over 20% of Ukraine's territory under a proposed ceasefire agreement that may be put forward by Donald Trump's team, The New York Times reports.

The potential ceasefire will be secured with the involvement of European peacekeeping forces, most likely led by British, German and French troops.

In addition, according to NYT data, 51% of Americans believe that the US is spending too much on military aid to Ukraine.
