Trump to halt aid to South Africa

Trump stated that he is ready to stop financial aid to the Republic of South Africa in response to government actions aimed at expropriating land from white farmers. 

This threat forms part of his broader strategy, which includes sanctions against several countries that, in his view, threaten US interests. Among those under pressure from Trump are Canada, Mexico, China and the European Union.

The US President does not hide that the imposed sanctions and restrictive measures are intended as a response to violations by these countries, whether they be trade disputes, human rights abuses or political disagreements. Trump emphasised that such steps are necessary to protect American interests and strengthen the country's position on the international stage.
