Trump insists Canada should join the United States

Donald Trump has once again used harsh rhetoric towards Canada, stating that the country should become part of the United States to avoid trade tariffs.

According to him, America spends “hundreds of billions of dollars” subsidising the Canadian economy, although there is no need for this. He emphasised that the US has sufficient energy resources, produces its own cars and has an abundance of timber.

“Without these colossal subsidies, Canada could not exist as a viable state. It is cruel, but true!” Trump noted, adding that joining the US would provide Canadians with lower taxes, better military defence and a complete absence of tariffs.
