Phototherapy – a modern trend in cosmetology

Phototherapy is a modern trend in cosmetology aimed at preserving youth and beauty, as well as preventing premature skin ageing.

Various devices are used for this purpose. For example, LED Light, which can be purchased at a specialised store. The device can be used in a salon or at home.

The equipment is used for cosmetic purposes and helps resolve various skin problems.

Features

Phototherapy involves exposing the skin to waves of varying lengths. This ensures that the treatment affects not only the upper layer of the skin but also deeper layers. As a result, regenerative processes are triggered in the dermis, initiating not only the formation of new cells but also the healing of old ones. In other words, the skin receives treatment from within. This is far more effective than addressing surface-level issues.

Manufacturers offer a range of equipment for phototherapy. It may vary in size, appearance, and functionality. Small portable devices can be moved around or even taken on trips. They take up little space and are simple and convenient to use.

More complex equipment is acquired for professional purposes. It is important that the specialist knows how to operate it and understands the device's features. This positively impacts the effectiveness of the procedure.

Applications

It is no secret that light rays affect human skin. This has been proven through years of research. However, not everyone knows the actual impact light has:

·         Red light stimulates the skin's production of collagen. As a result, it becomes firmer and tighter, and the contour improves.

·         Blue light is used to eliminate breakouts and prevent them from occurring.

·         White light eliminates inflammatory skin processes. At the same time, the light rays tighten the skin and give it a healthy appearance.

·         Green light also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As a result of the exposure, the skin tightens, fine wrinkles are smoothed out, and deep wrinkles become less noticeable.

Light rays can be used individually or in combination. In the latter case, specific equipment is used that possesses the full light spectrum and exerts a comprehensive effect on the skin.
