Court orders Trump administration to resume USAID payments

A US federal court issued a ruling requiring the Donald Trump administration to resume funding for foreign organisations through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) by the end of the day.

Lawsuit against the government

 Companies, non-profit organisations and entities involved in the distribution of international aid filed the lawsuit. They stated that due to Trump's decision, they had lost funding and the ability to operate.

Legal battle to restore payments

 Previously, the court temporarily lifted the funding freeze, but the plaintiffs argued that the administration had taken no action to comply with this decision.

 The judge granted the motion to enforce the injunction issued on 13 February, thereby obliging the government to immediately resume payments.
