New details of the shooting in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia, are emerging. According to Ukrainian People's Deputy Mustafa Nayem, the cause of the conflict was a reshuffle of the tobacco smuggling market.

Initially, a meeting was arranged between representatives of the Right Sector and Mykhailo Lanyo at the Dragon restaurant on Lermontova Street in Mukachevo. Later, the meeting was moved to the nearby Antares sports complex. Both of these establishments are controlled by Mykhailo Lanyo.

Representatives of the Right Sector arrived in four jeeps, 21 people in total. They approached the gates and asked the guard to call Mykhailo Lanyo. After an argument, the guard was shot in the head. He is currently in intensive care.

At approximately 13:20, a report was received on the 102 emergency number that people in camouflage had blocked Lermontova Street. The head of the city police, Vitaliy Shymanyak, arrived at the scene. During negotiations, he was given an ultimatum to surrender his weapon. When the head refused, shooting started - representatives of the Right Sector fired into the air, and a smoke grenade exploded. The jeeps rammed a police UAZ and a chase began.

At the Mukachevo-Kolchyno junction, they exited onto the Kyiv-Chop highway. The highway was blocked near a gas station by three MVS vehicles. A Kalashnikov belt-fed machine gun was mounted on the first jeep in the Right Sector convoy. Shooting was also carried out from RPGs and Mux. Three police vehicles were destroyed, and the jeep convoy broke through to the Red Mountain area, at the entrance to Mukachevo from the Kyiv-Chop highway.

As a result of the shootout, two representatives of the Right Sector were killed, and four police officers were injured, three of them lightly and one seriously. It is currently known that among the PS representatives are fighters from the Sogechko battalion, who regularly participated in fighting on the eastern front.
